Troubleshooting VS Code and Teams
Teams and VS Code Crashing (1/25/2024)
On 1/25/2024, Melissa had issues with her Teams and VS Code freezing and going blank/black. She then had to kill the processes and reboot the computer to get everything back up. After looking at the Windows Event Viewer, we discovered it was likely due to a Teams updater.
The following steps were taken to resolve the issue:
- Clean the Teams cache
- Close all programs.
- Check for and install Windows updates.
After these updates, the crashing behavior has not been seen again.
